We don't herald from the hallowed grounds of Camp Nou. Neither did we blossom under the spotlights of Old Trafford. Heck, the closest we will ever get to the San Siro would be the pasta stand..at Raffles Place.
Whatever skills we lack, we compensate with our bountiful enthusiasm, dogged determination, and hope that springs eternal.
Pooled together from two different teams, Football Wonderers are made up of a bunch of middle-aged mavericks. Free spirited nomads, our contrasting personalities are matched only by our disparate skills on the pitch.
But that hasn't stopped us from banding together on sweltering Sunday afternoons, all in the name of fellowship, and with a perquisite laugh, or two, along the way.
Little wonder football is the last thing on our minds.
