Reported by: AYYUB KAY

Scorer(s): Ayat(2), Ming(2), Wandy, Rajiv, Shim, Chee Hui
Assist(s): Ayyub(2), Wandy, Shaq, Hamzah, Ayat

After last week's hiccup, JAWS produced an outstanding display that saw they playing football at their potential best. Naidy, Yana, Maira, Hazirah all turned up to support Jaws and certainly they didnt leave disappointed but being entertained by the display from the team. The performance showed that players are willing to play for one another and it's a positive step for the team in Pre-season. Hamzah, Naz and Zuri were on trial and certainly all 3 have contributed to the good performance of Jaws.

1st Half XI: Is, Chee Hui, Hilmi, Im, Jie Hao, Syahrul, Hamzah, Shaq, Ayyub (C), Ayat, Ming

Jaws started the game in the opening minutes brightly as they got their passing going and getting accustomed to having Hamzah in midfield. Syahrul seemed to overcome his injury concerns and played his usual effective and simple football and putting in hard tackles. With Hilmi and Chee Hui at the back, Jaws defence were composed and well complemented by up field runs by Im and Jie Hao. Shaq and Hamzah were constantly making good passes upfield while Ayyub supplied the killer balls to the 2 speed demons in Ayat and Ming. The 1st scoring chance fell to Ming when Ayyub flicked a nice through ball but Ming chose to shoot from the edge of the box with no pressure, getting his shot well saved by the keeper. After 10 mins, Jaws got ahead through Ayat when Hamzah produced a fantastic through ball and the latter didnt need reminders on how to finish the job. In typical Ayat-fashion, he rounded the keeper and stroke the ball into the empty net to make it 1-0! Ayyub got into the action next when a quick pass to release Ming again and his persistence was rewarded as he managed to nick the ball through the keeper's leg and finished it to make it 2-0! Enduring the hot weather, Jaws fought for almost every inch of the pitch with Hamzah impressing with his strong and quick presence in midfield. WANDY FOR MING. Wandy made his presence felt immediately when Ayyub's quick freekick found him and Wandy finished with a nice shot into the bottom left! 3-0! Ayat got his 2nd goal through a Shaq through ball and scored in a similar way to his 1st. 4-0! SHIM FOR AYAT. DIN FOR YUB. Half-time: 4-0 to Jaws.

2nd Half XI: Mamat, Chee Hui (C), Hilmi, Zuri, Bazli, Syahrul, Rajiv, Naz, Wandy, Din, Shim

Despite making several changes to the line-up, Jaws continued where they left off from the 1st period. Defensively, Jaws were so sound and well led by both Chee Hui and Hilmi. Naz showed more of what he is capable of doing with a defensive midfielder role with quick short passes and occasional long passes to the strikers. The midfield was in control of the game and it didnt took too long before Wandy made another through ball to Rajiv and he scored his 1st Jaws goal ever! 5-0! From a corner taken by Naz, Syahrul found space to head the ball towards the bottom corner but was partially clearly by their defender, only for the ball to go towards a certain Chee Hui who blasted the ball into the roof of the net! 6-0! Shim was next to get onto the scoresheet when he made a short run and unleashed a shot into the bottom right! 7-0! HAMZAH FOR CHEE HUI. SHAQ FOR SYAHRUL. YAT FOR HILMI. MING FOR WANDY. YUB FOR DIN. Another quick mass substitution saw Naz and Hamzah repositioned as centrebacks and changed the shape of the game. Liquide FC found a way to cause problems by quick long balls forward and soon, Jaws conceded a penalty through Bazli. Liquide FC didnt wasted the opportunity and pulled one back. However, Jaws always respond well and Ayat chased down a loose ball ahead of their on-rushing keeper and squared the ball back for Ming to make it 8-1! It's fantastic to see Ayat being top scorer making assist, as he showed he's capable of creating scoring chances for others. And it's great to se Ming scoring 2 goals before he got enlisted on this coming tuesday morning and Jaws will miss his tenacity for 2 weeks! Then came a shocking moment as Bazli lunged himself making a flying tackle and missing the ball and catch the opponent, the ref chose to show him the straight red and Jaws were down to 10 men. Liquide FC managed to pulled one more goal back soon  but Jaws were able to finish the game quite comfortably with an 8-2 win!

As there wasnt much being said about the fantastic performance from JAWS, i want everyone to know that we played very well whenever we play as a team, as today proved. From today's game, i have witnessed Jaws notching up another level and perhaps one of the most solid display we have produced. Good job to everyone today! Thanks to Yana and Hazirah for taking our photos during the game. I hope to see what players think of the game we had just now, because it was really one solid performance but nobody said much about it. Cheers!
