Newly founded Time Park Football Club are anticipating their first appearance in a tournament with their new squad. The eastern based club has submitted two 8-man squads for the The Gladiators Challenge 3 Futsal Competition.
Time Park Rovers are bolstered by the inclusion of the “Burmese Tank”, Gideon Myat San. However, Idris Razali is under pressure to lead the team’s frontline as primary goal-getter, Illyas Effandi is doubtful of starting as he is still nursing injuries after a recent traffic accident in Thailand. Experience will come in the form of loans, Fahmi Shukor and legendary goal keeper, Jastin Hatta. The team’s captain Sanusi and Syed Abdullah are both match fit.
Time Park United’s attack will be led by Captain Lutfi Tuliman and Imran Zul. Old guards Toh Peng Cheng and Hanafee Ishak will look to guide their line-up consisting of Adam Abidin, Farhan Hafi, Feerdaus Johari and Danial Hidayat. Youngster Saad Razali will be hoping to appear at some stage.
Simon Kim, Raymond, Akram and Syed Malik are unavailable.
Both teams are hoping to get out of the group stage to meet their initial targets of a place in the knockout rounds. However, with only the top two teams of each group qualifying and the short playing time means the task at hand will not be an easy feat.
