D2D Sunday 9am League Weekly Preview

OPOD News Center - Hari Raya Puasa long weekend beckons and a significantly reduced number of matches were scheduled to be played in view of the fact that the muslim community will be unable to play their favourite game during the festive celebrations over ther weekend.

In Division 2, only 1 game is scheduled to take place where Refugees take on bottom of the table Club De Futbol. Refugees are in a poor run of form having not won in their last 3 games and gaining only 2 meagre league points. They will be looking to shake off their lethargy and regain their early season form where they won 3 games in a row. Club De Futbol, entrenched in the foot of the table, are living on the edge and in danger of early relegation should they fail to start picking up points. Any points they'll be able to take out of this game will be a big bonus.

In Division 1, none of the top 3 are playing. 79ers will take on Euphoric Espada FC in a clash where EEFC will hope to rediscover their old selves and play the way they did last season. Despite finishing behind EEFC last season, 79ers have obviously better adapted themselves to Div 1's level and will want to win this clash to stamp their authority.

In Division 3, Midland Wolves FC will meet Phoenix FC for a battle of the bottom dwellers. A loss for either team will condemn them to the nether regions of the table and face potential relegation should a 4th division be set up next season.
