Victory Arena - Following the half time substitution of Questra Vipers (QV) striker Anders Aplin, team captain Tan Li Yu hailed the contribution of the youngster playing a starring role in the 4-1 Premier Division match.
The Vipers FC number 2 man, says that many of the Vipers players are fast becoming admirers of Aplin's abilities. Anders' contribution is all the more so important with the QV's leading scorer John out-of-action for some time yet.
"I think it took him all of just 4 and half minutes after his introduction to get on the score sheet. He is very clinical, and probably one of the best finishers at our club," said Li Yu.
He added, "It is a very important time for us this season, we cannot afford to drop the ball. There are important games coming up in the next months and we are hoping for some luck."
The players and "fans" no doubt will be looking to more exciting goals and moments from Anders as the season reaches the final stretch.
