IT was Goals Galore at Northview Secondary as Team Layar takes on a determined Northern Resistance. Team Layar started the match at frantic pace and rythm with Northern Territory taking longer to settle down. Two early goals by debutant Muhd Shazwan put Team Layar on a comfortable lead. But a third goal by left wingern Amir Hasan brought about complacency to the team after leading 3-0.
Northern Resistance took back the control of the game after Team Layar dropped a gear and mistakes were made. The lack of communication from Team Layar were exposed time and again. Northern Resistance were duely rewarded with two deserved goals to bring the score to a close 2-3 at half-time.
Team Layar received a tongue-lashing from Manager Mohd Redwan for their abysmal display towards the end of the half. Changes were apparantly made to bolster the midfield in view of regaining command of the match.
Northern Resistance came back strongly into the second half believing they could make a comeback and get a result from this match. But the tactical change worked well for Team Layar as they managed to hold their lead and pounced on the errors. Muhd Shazwan managed to complete his debut hat-trick and later Amir Hasan got his second from a quick counter attack.
Northern Resistance's never-say-die attitude brought about their third goal to reduce the final scoreline to 3-5. Both teams contributed to the exciting match with their attacking mindset.
