Unbeaten in their last four matches, Gombak will host Brunei DPMM, who are themselves enjoying an unbeaten start to the season so far, with three wins and two draws out of their five games.
After stumbling to a goal-less draw against Woodlands in their home match last week, the Bulls will be up against it against a strong DPMM side, who have adjusted well so far after a three-season absence from the S-League. Goalkeeper Zaiful Nizam will have to be at his best to repel the attacking threat of Rodrigo Grahl and Basiru Osman, who have shown that they are a lethal combination.
Meanwhile, the home side will count on flying winger Mustaqim Manzur to unlock the DPMM defence, marshalled solidly by giant centreback Tales dos Santos. Christopher Anderson will engage in a midfield battle with DPMM skipper Rosmin Kamis, who has been likened to Scott Parker. Youngsters Fareez Farhan and Samuel Benjamin have impressed so far for Gombak, while Hafiz Rahim could be a secret weapon in their arsenal.
DPMM will be the favorites here, with their experience and the shrewd leadership of Vjeran Simunic, but Gombak will be quietly confident about their own chances.
Prediction: DPMM to prove too strong and win this 2-0.
