Recently labelled as the brand ambassador for H-TWO-O, one of the leading isotonic brand drinks in Singapore, Fandi Ahmad has been fronting the innovative H-TWO-O advertising campaign titled “Unleash Your Inner Power” through Singapore outdoor and print media.
Best remembered for his spectacular goals for the Lions during the Malaysia Cup Days, Fandi is the only Singaporean who has played at the highest level of professional football in Europe. His stint in Europe saw him score against Inter-Milan in the UEFA Cup second round, as well as train alongside Dutch greats Johan Cruyff and Marco van Basten. Fandi being Singapore’s favourite footballing son and an inspiration to many young footballers, it is little wonder why he was selected to be the leading figure in the advertising campaign.
“I was very happy when H-TWO-O approached me with the idea of being a spokesperson for them. As I’ve mentioned before sports and hydration go hand-in-hand and I was glad to be appointed as an ambassador for H-TWO-O.”
As the spokesperson for H-TWO-O, Fandi will be actively involved in representing H-TWO-O in a series of school talks all around Singapore with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports and educating the youths on the importance of strength of mind, teamwork and determination.
“Getting involved in the school programs gives me the opportunity to interact with the youths and inspire them to work towards building a brighter future for the sports industry in Singapore. I personally enjoy talking to the students during the school talks and sharing my experiences with them. It makes me hopeful when they listen intently to the issues I share with them and never hesitate to raise questions.”
In addition to his ambassadorial duties, Fandi has added the title of resident coach for the H-TWO-O Ultimate Dream Team into his résumé. The reigning champions of the ‘League of Champions’ tournament organized for the cream of the crop of the amateur teams in Singapore, Fandi and his coaching team led the H-TWO-O Ultimate Dream Team to victory in their debut participation in the competition.
With the objective to nurture and groom young football talents in Singapore, the H-TWO-O Ultimate Dream Team program was formed. The players part of the H-TWO-O Ultimate Dream Team are given the opportunity of a life-time to train under Fandi as he coaches them weekly, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at the ITE College Central (MacPherson).
The H-TWO-O Ultimate Dream Team were invited to a match against the ‘First XI’ team from the MediaCorp Channel 5 reality television show in which they shared the spoils with the final score line 2-2.

Also, I get a great satisfaction from knowing that I’m still involved in the local football scene by coaching these youngsters and helping to unearth more football talent.”
