EFL News Centre - SCC Strollers finished off their first season in the EFL’s top flight in style, defeating newly crowned champions Gaelic Lions 2-0 on the weekend. The Strollers have suffered from indifferent form this season, winning games against the top teams but dropping points on their travels to the league’s lower sides.
Saturday Pirates kept up their push to cement a second placed finish with a comfortable 3-1 win against the league’s basement club MDIS, while Singapore Vipers FC also remain hot on their heels following a 1-0 success against TTFC.
British Club First XI continued their purple patch with a narrow 1-0 win of their own against Pulau Ubin FC, to move within 2 points of Hibernians United with 3 games in hand, who finished their last match the weekend before. Tuan Gemuk Athletic recorded their biggest win this season (after their 9-2 rout of ANZA was nulled due to the academy’s withdrawal) when they thumped Titans NFC 6-1. The win lifts TGA out of the bottom 2, and they will look to make a late push up the table.
