TEAM fia vs Sporting Goras
As every player was having their warm ups in the field coach Kevin Shoff unleashed his tactics, taking the risk & playing 4-5-1 instead of our traditional 4-4-2. The air in the atmosphere was rather tensed as the blow of the whistle was much awaited.
As the whistle blew, tensed emotion quickly turned into a fierce fought game. 11 players each team, wondering which will break the ice with a deadly goal! Sliding tackles, high boots, bruises & shouts from the side lines can be heard.
Curses & swearing quickly found its way to everyone as we puff away during the half time. This moment everyone has the same thought "How do we come back from a 2-2 scoreline?" Spirits were not dampen but team work was much put together after the start of the second half. "Beep.........the referee's whistle broke the silence.
Battling like the The 300, strikers, midfielders & defenders from Team FIA fought like the scene where Achilles (Brad Pitt) battle it out with Prince Hector (Eric Bana). Both teams had one common goal, "Bring Em Down"
A draw was nearing as Roy Fuad brought the ball down our Right Wing, cut in from the left Roy let off a shot @ 5km per hour. With such force the keeper may only stop the ball before finding his grip on the ball....
Most importantly we fought, bruised, strained ourselves & win the game with 4-2.
HANDS DOWN, Kudos to the Man-of-the-Match. The one dat proofed himself dat he is capable to be called the "EL Toro!!!" of Team FIA! None other than our own Edgar Davids, "The PitBull" Costa Jenggo aka Ah Pai.
