It’s a clash of the giants, as defending champions Tampines Rovers take on current table-toppers Brunei DPMM, as the Wasps look to put one over the Stags after they were held to a 2-2 draw back in Brunei in the corresponding fixture in the season-opener.

After a poor start to the season, Tampines have clawed their way back into contention for the title, sitting third in the table and six points behind DPMM. Aleksandar Duric remains one of the best strikers in the league despite his age and his every bit of his guile and experience will be needed to break down one of the best defences in the league.

At the other end, Shahrazen Said has enjoyed a fine season for DPMM and is one of the reasons why they are the top-scoring team in the league. Ivan Jerkovic provides the creativity in midfield as he pulls the strings, while skipper Rosmin Kamis complements him with the bite and aggression.

Both sides usually like to play attacking football instead of sitting back, and spectators will be in for an entertaining clash if these two teams follow that style of play when they meet again.

Tampines last five games: WLLWW
DPMM last five games: WLWWW

Prediction: It is possible that both teams will cancel each other out again. 1-1 is OPOD’s call.
