Squad update - players leaving
Players come and players go. Here are a small update of the players that for different reasons are rumored not to be playing for us in the near future.
The list is based on a mix of rumors and facts and might not be entirely accurate. If someone is not leaving or if someone else is leaving, please let me know so I can update the list.
Joel Ahlen
Joel moved home to Sweden permanently before Christmas. He has been one of our best (or the best) players the last seasons and he will leave a hole in our midfield/attack that will be difficult to fill.
Sven Børre Larsen
Sven Børre where one of our best players last season, playing mostly in defense and on the midfield. His strength, endurance and ability to hold the ball will be missed a lot.
Mark Fraser
Mark and Nancy are moving to Germany around the end of January and will probably live in Cologne. Mark will remembered as a player that compensated his lack of control and flair with muscle and effort. He has also played some matches as stand in goalkeeper
Bjørn Nygård
Bjørn played since 2006 but has been out for a while due to traveling and a back injury. His departure leaves the squad with only one full time goalkeeper.
Are Foss
Are left in December. He only played a half season for SBVS in adition to a half season with only training. He left just when he had just found the goal, finishing in style with two goals in two matches.
Rafel Thome
Rafael played the last half of the 08/09 season and where also pretty regular on the indoor trainings. He has been injured since and is now moving to Japan. He was the team Brazilian who single handedly increased the average technique in our team to "fair".
