INTRODUCTION
X-United is a cohesive and dynamic football team which has graced the amateur football scene for more than a decade. With a common passion of football, Team Captain Premkumaran and Team Manager Karunamurthy were responsible for the founding of X-United back in 1998. With a string of positive results in friendly encounters, X-United entered the competitive amateur scene when they participated in the Fair Challenge League in 2009.
TEAM PERFORMANCE
X-United had a magnificent start into their tenure in the competitive amateur scene when they emerged as league champions of the Fair Challenge Saturday League in their debut season in 2009. Currently, X-United is in contention of securing their second consecutive league title with the season coming to its end.
ANALYSIS OF FORM
X-United’s performance in the Fair Challenge League this season has been excellent. With a positive league record of 10 wins, 1 draw, and 1 defeat, X-United is well on course to retaining the league title having scored 52 goals and conceded just 11 goals this season.
X-United’s stint in the inaugural League of Champions was also positive. Despite failing to qualify for the knockout stages, X-United put up a resilient performance to hold eventual finalist Casuals FC to a 1-1 draw and were unfortunate to succumb to a 2-0 defeat against Team BI.
TACTICS
Adopting a cautious approach in football, X-United alternates between neutral formations of 4-4-2 or 4-5-1.
KEY PLAYERS

Premkumar: Formerly donning the colors of Sembawang SC in the NFL, Premkumar is a versatile defender who injects composure and experience into the backline of X-United.
Prabhu: Having participated in the Prime League for the likes of Balestier Khalsa previously, Prabhu is a midfield playmaker in the offensive department of X-United as he complements the team's attack with his football intelligence and incisive passes.
MANAGER’S CORNER

Having attained invaluable experience in the League of Champions, Team Captain Prem believes X-United can achieve greater honors in the near future.
''Should there be a second edition of the League of Champions, we are optimistic that we can perform better in it. At the same time, we are targeting to be the best in the Fair Challenge League as we strive to emerge as 3 times Fair Challenge League champions. Should we be able to achieve this feat, X-United can look forward to take part in bigger amateur leagues in the future.’’
Prem also mentioned that unity and organization are the key to success for X-United.
''I think teamwork, commitment and discipline are important values in X-United. Most importantly, our players embraced the football philosophy of X-United. In football, you can’t depend on a certain individual to win games. Thus, teamwork comes into the picture as a brilliant individual player does not bring you success in football for the long term.''
